Project Overview
The Fulton Hogan – John Holland Joint Venture are currently working to upgrade all wooden poles along the Petone to Upper Hutt rail tracks to steel poles for which Higgins Concrete are supplying the concrete foundations.
In order to transport the concrete along the length of the track, Higgins Concrete commissioned a purpose-built 5 cubic metre bowl unit complete with its own power pack manufactured by TWS. The unit was built to KiwiRail’s stringent safety standards and is transported along the tracks by a KiwiRail supplied hi-roll unit.
