Regional Manager

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Wellington based Regional Manager to lead our Southern region, covering Wellington and Nelson regions. As the Regional Manager Southern, you will be responsible for driving long-term profitable growth within the region. You will create an exceptional workplace for our people, grow our reputation with stakeholders, and enhance the capability of our business.


What You’ll Do

  • Customer Focus: Understand the regional market, competitors, and utilize concrete technology to identify winning business opportunities. Develop successful long-term relationships with senior-level customers, partners, and suppliers. Represent Higgins Concrete with professionalism, energy, and a solutions-focused mindset.

  • Business Development: Ensure strong branding, sales, marketing, and promotional activities to secure profitable business. Use market and technical knowledge to understand future opportunities and risks, developing winning strategies for growth.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure operations are well-led, organized, efficient, and high-quality with minimal waste and strong compliance. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • People Leadership: Attract and grow great people, ensuring the health and wellbeing of the team. Build a culture for success, leading with trust and integrity, and promoting our values.


What You’ll Bring

  • Relevant management qualification.

  • Experience in the construction sector with B2B relationships, sales, and business development.

  • Strong financial and commercial skills.

  • Class 1 Licence.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a “roll up your sleeves” approach.

  • Solid understanding of health and safety practices.

  • Confidence using computers and digital tools.
