About the Role

As a Heavy Diesel Field Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of heavy plant and machinery in both quarry and concrete environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair heavy machinery and vehicles in the field

• Carry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety

• Follow safe civil infrastructure and workplace practices

• Participate in after-hours callouts and occasional Saturday work as required

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic

• National Certificates in Heavy Machinery will also be considered

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

• Physical fitness and endurance to work on heavy machinery

• Welding experience (MIG/ARC) is an advantage

• Class 2 Driver Licence essential

• Class 4 Driver Licence advantageous

• Availability to work approximately 40-50 hours per week

• Hold New Zealand Residency, Citizenship, or a valid New Zealand work permit
