We’re looking for a motivated and relationship-focused professional Business Development Manager to join our team at Higgins Concrete. Based in Auckland, and operating from our Drury based concrete plant, you’ll will focus on central and southern Auckland, but capable of driving growth to support potential growth across the entire Auckland region. Reporting to the locally based Regional Manager, with an ability to be a part of a sales team around the country at other concrete plant locations.
What You'll Do
Cultivate and nurture strong, enduring relationships with our clients and position yourself as a reliable and knowledgeable business partner
Identify and secure new business opportunities with a constant growth mindset
Collaborate with regional and internal teams to align sales strategies with local market needs
Represent Higgins Concrete with professionalism, integrity and a strong sales drive. Resilience will be essential, as will a solutions-focused approach
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in sales and new business development - construction industry experience is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills teamed with the ability to negotiate, influence, and make sound commercial decisions
Super strong communication and relationship building skills
Growth Focus – Higgins Concrete is in growth mode and looking to expand its operations
Organisation and structure with regards to your sales approach with confidence using computers and digital tools
A proactive, can-do attitude, and willingness to get stuck in as part of the team
Appetite for learning – open to technical training and development
Solid understanding of health and safety practices
